Who we are
Smarterblast is a direct-marketing dispatch service. Customers upload their own contact lists and message content, and we deliver the campaign at scale across mobile carriers, email infrastructure, and telephony partners.
Information we collect
- Account & contact details you provide to us, such as your name, email address, and billing information.
- Campaign data you supply, including recipient lists (phone numbers or email addresses) and the message content you want sent.
- Technical & usage data generated when you use the site, such as basic log data and delivery/engagement metrics for your campaigns.
Our role: processor vs. controller
For the recipient lists you upload, you are the data controller and Smarterblast acts as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and the required consent to message every contact on your list. We process that data only to run and report on the campaign you instruct.
How we use information
- To deliver the campaigns you order and report on their results.
- To provide support, process payments, and maintain your account.
- To enforce compliance, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to deliver your campaign — for example with mobile carriers, email-sending infrastructure, telephony providers, and payment processors. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal data.
Data retention
We retain uploaded recipient lists only as long as needed to run and report on your campaign, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Account and billing records are kept as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
